Martin Gugino, the 75 year old protester who were shoved by the Buffalo PD now suffers from head injuries and cannot walk. His lawyer announced a statement to CNN on Monday.
I am not at liberty to elaborate at this time other than to confirm that his skull was fractured, "Guigino's attorney Kelly Zarcone said. "while he is not able to walk yet, we were able to have a short conversation before he became too tired. He is appreciative of all of the concern about hi, but he is still focused on the issues rather than himself"
Gugino now sits in rehabilitation awaiting recovery, yet he is still hellbent on the issues at hand; this not only exemplifies true character but it sheds light on the kind of man he is while showing the parallels to the police officers who injured him. The 75 year old was injured on june 4th when he confronted a battalion of the anti-protest emergency unit to protests police brutality. In an ironical twist his injuries were the outcome of brunt force brought on by the police who took an oath to serve and protect . After the national outcry Gov. Cuomo spoke out in anguish and disgust while President trump hinted that the whole ordeal might have been fabricated.
The Buffalo Pd chief released a statement claiming the elderly man tripped and fell, Buffalo Police spokesperson Mike DeGeorge told CNN. after taking heat publicly they were forced to amend the statement which resulted in the officers being suspended without while being under investigation.
